Club Tree Hotel Songkhla

It was a big surprise to see our Club Tree Hotel Songkhla, Hat Yai. The exterior looked so beautiful and lush like a 4 star hotel. It was evening when we arrived, the lights were on and gave it a very exquisite look. We walked under the canopy to the reception on the right. Check-in was very quick. The two girls were lovely and courteous. The check-in papers were ready. A copy of my passport was taken and we were handed a swipe key along with our breakfast vouchers. The receptionist informed us that there was 300 Baht refundable deposit for key. She also showed us breakfast area, told us the timing and gave us the wifi password. What’s even more beautiful about this hotel is there’s a coffee machine close to the lift for their in-house guest’s for free. Cappuccino, hot chocolate, tea, coffee all for free, all day. Isn’t that lovely. It’s the kindness and that hidden extras that a hotel provides which sticks with you forever, and we loved it.

The Lobby is tastefully done. It has an antique but modern decor and feels relaxed. It looked beautiful.
Our Deluxe AirCon Room was lovely and spacious. A large bed with 4 large pillows. Two side tables. Two good size tables for work with draws and two comfy chairs. A clean coffee kettle, cups and saucers and glasses. Although there was no coffee, tea and sugar. A Big fridge and two bottles of water. A big TV and a nice mirror. The room had plenty of flight pouring in all day. Although I could do with a few bright lights in the room but my husband was quite happy with those soft lights. The air condition cooled us perfectly in the day. As we were mainly doing other stuffs we did not use the TV but there weren’t many English channels either. And yes the toilet was clean. It had a walk-in shower, a washbasin with soap, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap, ear buds, a door mat and two clean towels. The WIFI had very good speed. There were enough plug connections in the right places. Like all over Thailand the plug sockets are small. We always carry a two pin adapter and a multi pin adapter. These are available at Amazon.

The breakfast area has got a modern library style look with comfy sofa seats and cushion chairs. The breakfast had a small but sufficient variety to select from. Like all over Thailand the food is tasty but seldom hot. The girl at the breakfast area also was really kind and lovely.

Club Tree Hotel is around 10 to 15 mins walk to the famous Songkhla’s Chalatat beach. Plenty of street food stalls just outside the hotel and a few restaurants around the corner. There’s a KFC a few minutes walk from the hotel and couple of Seven Eleven around the corner. Songthaew and bikes are easily available to travel around the area.

We liked the Club Tree Hotel and would happily give it a 5 Star. We plan to be back at this hotel after our short 5 day stay on Langkawi Island at Aseania Resort & Spa Langkawi.
